ANDREA FADDA

Andrea is a Sardinia-born, Lisbon-based architect and founder of Omú Arquitectura.

His work moves between landscape, architecture, and craftsmanship, exploring how spaces can embody identity, memory, and transformation.

At Risco Arquitectura e Desenho Urbano, he has contributed to a wide range of urban, residential, sports, cultural, and facility projects. Including proposals for the new Stadium of Rabat, the new Academia of Porto FC, the extension of the Belém Cultural Centre, and the Hub do Mar in Lisbon, among others. Through these experiences, Andrea has refined a practice that balances conceptual vision with technical precision, working across different scales of the built environment.

With Omú Arquitectura, he develops a more grounded and human approach to design. One that values contrast, the beauty of imperfection, and the expressive potential of materials shaped by skilled hands. His ongoing research stands as a quiet resistance to the growing standardisation of living spaces: an exploration of how architecture can evolve from what already exists, celebrating craftsmanship, the intelligence of details, and the authenticity of place. Far from the logic of mass-produced, ready-made and all around solutions that dominate contemporary housing.
